An opposing roll is made between two or more Creatures. Each Creature involved is either the attacker or a defender. If a defender rolls higher than the attacker then, usually, nothing happens to the defender. (If the two rolls are equal, than the attacker wins the roll)
Hereβs the most common examples of opposing rolls:
- Melee Attack β Succeed in an opposing roll: Might vs. Might or Agility (defender uses lowest) to hit.
- Ranged Attack β Succeed in an opposing roll: Agility vs. Agility to hit.
- Spell Effect β Succeed in an opposing roll: Arcane, Faith or Nature vs. Might or Agility (Choose which Skills are used when you add this effect) to apply the spellβs effects.
- Spell Effect II β Succeed in an opposing roll: Arcane, Faith or Nature vs. Perception (Choose which Skills to use when you add this effect)
- Intimidation β Each Creature affected makes an opposing roll on Will against your Intimidation Skill Check, those that fail are Scared of you for 1 Turn (must flee if in the same Zone).
