The moment you have no Health left, is the moment you start dying. If you are not healed (via a health potion, some spells) when the next turn starts, you need to Roll a death saving throw (unless somehow you become Stable), and you are Unconsious.

Also while you are Stable or Dying:

  • You are Unconsious, so all attacks that are not critical failures will reach you, no metter your Armor Class (AC), however you have no health left to loose, for all attacks that hurt you will add 1 failed death saving throw mark (at 3 or more you Die).

  • Death Saving Throw: you are dying, you are fighting for your life.
Throw a flat d20 (no bonuses), then depending on the result you’ll be closer or further from death. ^death-saving-throw
    • 1 | Add 2 failed death saving throw marks, the moment your character reaches 3 or more failed death saving throws marks, he/she is Dead.
    • 2-9 | Add 1 failed death saving throw mark.
    • 10-19 | Add or mark 1 succesful death saving throw mark, if your character reaches 3 or more succesful death saving throw marks, he/she is Stable, meaning you no longer need to throw this roll at the start of each turn, but you are still Unconsious.
    • 20 | You miraculasy come back to your senses, cancel all failed death saving throw mark, and gain 1 permanent Health.
If you’re playing with a Card System add the following card to your State Deck:

  • Stable Condition: you are no longer dying, but you are still Unconsious.
