If you loose a piece of Gear, you mysteriously forget a Spell, or more generally by any means you can no longer use a certain card, you give that card to your GM.
Loosing a card means loosing your progress, it feels terrible. As a GM, you should compensate in some ways, in a fair way. For example, if your Players menage to recuperate all broken pieces of a Destroyed Gear, give back to the owner enough points to build it back.
